Child Psychotherapy

children.png

The aim of child psychotherapy at C&A Psychotherapy is to build a secure, trusting relationship with the child, whilst allowing them to express their thoughts, needs, wants, desires, emotions and conflicts in order for them to gain insight, clarity and work towards resolution.

What is Child Psychotherapy?

and how does it work?

At C&A Psychotherapy we acknowledge talking about a problem can be difficult for children, therefore we employ many different techniques in order to help children access therapy in a way that works them.

These techniques involve:

- play

- sand tray work

- drawing and creative media

The above techniques are all aimed at helping children to work through and release issues non-verbally. This is very effective for children aged 3-13 as sometimes there are no words to describe a child's experience. These techniques require a highly skilled therapist and are carried out using a virtual therapy room.

For more information about the sessions and if you are interested in viewing the virtual therapy room in detail,  please get in touch using the contact form at the bottom of this page.
